Condolence: Lydia I am a man w out words. Living in Charleston for the last 25yrs I lost track of u guys. Even to this day there has not been a week has gone by w out me having a thought of Richie. I always loved him as a brother. Last nite I decided to try and make contact w u guys after all these years so I googled dr. Richard Lewis Siegel MD. Several names came up at one with the birthdate September 28, 1947. It had to be my oldest friend Who I've known first as my neighbor since I was two years old. Those early years we were best friends and I said earlier like a brother. I clicked his name and was confronted with his obituary and testimonials. I spent The beginning of the evening in tears followed by morning and fond memories. A lot of memories as kids, teenagers, married couples, and partners. He was the best friend I ever had and the oldest friend that I have. In my heart I will miss him as I would miss a dear brother. My love and condolences to you Lydia I know Richie will always be remembered fondly in my heart. Shula and my eldest son Ari knew him best To Ari Richie was the guy who came over to the house to steal his Oreo cookies out of the Oreo jar. He's also remembered by Ari as a mentor in the medical field when He was a child. Shula sends her love and will remember Richie fondly. Again all of our love forever. David and Shula as well as Ari, Eric, and Lori PS. I truly hope you get this even though it's two years late

Condolence: Richard was a very dear and valued friend for many years. He was a very special person, a real individual, always ready to help, with a wide range of interests and a great sense of humour. The collection of quirky philosophical quotes he pinned on his office wall typified his unique brand of humour. He really enjoyed life and lived it to the full. After he retired he developed an interest in Improv and threw himself enthusiastically into participating in sessions several times a week. Always calm and laid back, I never once heard him raise his voice in anger. He loved the outdoor life, hiking with friends and his dog, Mae, cycling and roller blading, activities he managed to keep up when he began chemo. He faced his last illness bravely, supported by Lydia, who became an amazing medical advocate, educating herself about the disease and its treatment and initiating a variety of holistic supportive measures that beat back the inevitable and bought them an extended period of life together, time they would not have had without Lydia's intervention. We all loved him and he will be sorely missed.

Condolence: My team and I at CHC worked closely with Richard from 1995 to 2007 on several products at Pfizer and as a client, he was consistently dedicated, funny, wickedly bright, reasonable and generous of soul. He was not only our 'main man' as a medical lead and then publication committee chairman, but a client-friend, which is rare and treasured. And he really knew how to get things done: our nickname for him was "Sheriff Siegel" (a fondly-assigned moniker that I think he relished). To this day, I miss working with him, talking to him, and bringing him my home-made ruggelach for the year-end holidays. I send my deepest and most sincere condolences to his wife Lydia, and his family. And to Richard, one of my favorite people: I wish you peace.

Where there will be no more sickness, sorrow, pain or death. These promises are found in God’s word the Bible. Scriptures such as Revelation 21:3,4 and John 5:28,29. May reading these scriptures soothe your aching hearts during this most difficult time. Again our condolences to your family for your dearest loss. Condolence: I worked with Richard for many yearsand I regarded him not only as a highly respected colleague, but a great friend and advisor. Richard was very wise, pragmatic, easy going, brillant and had a cutting sense of humor. He was unique and did his own thing. I will miss our conversations, lengthy email exchanges, his baritone voice, easy smile, sense of humor and sage advice. His illness these past years took a toll on him, however, he had a positive attitude, tenacity and resilliance that was inspiring. He fought and remained hopeful and his sudden decline was a shock. I will miss terribly and will keep all the wonderful memories of him with me always.
