Iris was a strong, warm, caring and hard-working person, who loved to laugh, and gave of herself in effort and in prayer. My condolences to her family on your sudden loss, for she was dear to you and you looked forward to having her with you so much longer. You are sad, of course, but be comforted that though she suffered, she is joyfully with the Lord, for "Our light and momentary troubles are achieving for us an eternal glory that far outweighs them all." She really loved Jesus, and her spirit is in his presence right now. For believers, Scripture says, "If the earthly tent we live in is destroyed, we have an eternal home in heaven." She would have wanted us all to make sure we arrive there as well. As for now, God is able to hold you up in your time of grief. God bless you.
