Burton Morris Abelson died peacefully on November 29, 2021, just four days shy of his 85th birthday. A proud member of his Union, he devoted his entire career to the New York Public Libraries where he worked as a reference librarian for over 40 years. Born in Boston, MA, Burt found his true home in Brooklyn. A loving uncle, he leaves eight nephews and nieces and profound friendships with his great nephews and nieces. A memorial service will be held Saturday January 15th at 10AM at St. Mary the Virgin 145 W 46th St. NY,NY 10036.
