Obituary for Ann R. Loesch

Ann Rose Loesch (Labriola) died on Tuesday March 22, 2022 after a long struggle with symptoms resulting from a stroke suffered in 2015. She was always strong and battled until the end. Ann was born and raised in Manhattan on the Lower East side, in the shadows of the Manhattan Bridge, on August 12, 1940. She met Stephen P. Loesch and they were married in 1959. They then began raising a family and settled in Stuyvesant Town right afterwards. Ann worked as a secretary in the Fundraising Department of the Boys Club of NYC, down in the East Village. Ann and Steve were married for almost 52 years until his passing in 2011. Ann is survived by her 3 Children and their spouses, Brian and Ericka Loesch, Keith Loesch, and Allyson and Brian Dunn, and her grandchildren Thomas and Katie Dunn and Alexandra and Harry Loesch, as well as her surviving brother, Charles ‘Duke’ Labriola. Ann was a fixture in Stuyvesant Town who became one of the matriarchs strolling up and down 1st Ave. with her shopping cart, smiling and chatting it up with the many people who knew and loved her. She was a kind woman who was nice and beloved by all. She will forever be remembered for her famous Meatballs. Ann will be missed by her family and friends, but now is once again reunited with her husband Steve. May she Rest in Peace as St. Peter opens the gates for her. We Love You.
